The Wife took out a Personal Protection Order (PPO) against the Husband for committing family violence against her. This included physically hurting her, and continually harassing her (by placing a tracking device on her).

The Court found that the Husband has committed family violence against the wife even after an Expedited Protection Order was given to her. The Court granted the PPO and ordered the Husband to go for counselling.

Summary: If a person commits family violence, and if the Court thinks it’s necessary for the protection of the victim, a PPO will be granted.
